"Embracing the World is a global network of regional humanitarian organizations inspired by the initiatives that spring up at the Mata Amritanandamayi Math headquarters. Embracing the World has been created to help ease the burden of the world's poor by caring, as long as they each of your five basic needs— food , shelter , health care , education , and sustenance —are possible where and where possible.We have a special focus on helping to meet these needs when major catastrophes strike.

In addition to these efforts, we work on environmental conservation and sustainability to protect the future of our fragile planet. Through Amrita University, our researchers are innovating new means of delivering food, knowledge, information, energy and healthcare to reach those most in need here and now, wherever they are."
